Antoine Semenyo Makes Premier League History with Manchester City

Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo is enjoying a dream start at Manchester City after becoming the first Ghanaian to score 13 goals in a single Premier League season.

The 26-year-old reached the milestone during City’s recent win over Fulham, continuing his impressive form since his January move from Bournemouth.

Semenyo has quickly become an important player under Pep Guardiola, contributing crucial goals as City push in the Premier League title race.

Speaking after the Fulham match, Semenyo thanked his teammates and coaching staff for helping him settle:

“There’s no secrets! It’s just being part of a great team, a great environment… it’s all a fairytale right now.”

This record breaks a long-standing mark previously held by Ghanaian legend Tony Yeboah, who scored 12 league goals in the 1995/96 season. Semenyo’s achievement also includes multiple goal contributions in a short span after joining City, underscoring how quickly he has adapted.

His brilliant form has made him one of the central contributors to City’s ongoing Premier League title challenge, with the club closing the gap on leaders Arsenal and the Black Stars in the months ahead.
